The MC4 photovoltaic connector is a widely used standardized DC connection interface in solar power generation systems. It features a male and female anti-reverse insertion design, with a rated voltage of 1000-1500V and a rated current of 20-50A (some models can reach 60A).
This connector uses tin-plated copper alloy terminals to ensure low-resistance conductivity and is equipped with a self-locking mechanism (with a "click" sound when operated) to prevent accidental disconnection. The housing is made of UV-resistant engineering plastic and has an IP67/IP68 protection rating, making it suitable for various harsh outdoor environments.
As a standard configuration in the photovoltaic industry, the MC4 connector is mainly used for the series connection of photovoltaic modules and the connection from strings to inverters, supporting 4-6mm² photovoltaic cables.
